Nightlife was started by a group of people with a disability and their families in response to the frustration faced by so many people with physical disabilities at the lack of available evening and overnight flexible support. Our services were a direct response to concerns about:
- Constraints in the hours available for support
- Restricted set bedtimes, which had impacts on social and emotional welfare
- The pressure on families who provided primary care
With the introduction of the NDIS we have grown our availability and our range of services to provide unique solutions in the community. We’re available day and night, every day of the year – and our unobtrusive service is designed for maximum independence. Whether at 2am or 2pm our staff are here to help with exactly what you need.
Our driving purpose
We support people to regain and retain their independence within a supportive community. At Nightlife everyone’s story is important. We will work with you to design services which are uniquely tailored and adaptable to changes in your needs and circumstances. We aim to:
- Support individuals with a disability to keep living in their own home
- Avoid the admission to congregate care settings.
- Provide flexible supports at the times you need
- Reduce the dependency on unpaid carers and family members
- Provide safe, reliable options for complex care needs
- Work in partnership with your support network to ensure there are no gaps or service emergencies
