Celebrating
Families & Carers

Nightlife is committed to caring for carers.

We acknowledge and value the vital contribution of families and carers.
Did you know families and carers contribute 77.9 billion to the Australian economy? That’s over 2.2 billion hours of informal care (Deloitte Access Economics, 2020).

Unfortunately for many families, caring can impact wellbeing and impact the ability to participate in work , study and maintain social connections. That’s why planning supports can be so important. You can include a carer impact statement as part of NDIS planning to ensure your needs are also included.

It may also be important to connect with other carers, take time out and have opportunities to learn about how to provide care. The National Carer Gateway offers links to counselling, support, respite and practical short term supports to ensure we care for carers.
